Supporting organizations across Dallas, Austin, and DC / Northern Virginia.
StretchLab sessions are designed to improve mobility, flexibility, and overall movement through a structured, personalized approach.
Each session is delivered one-on-one by a trained Flexologist and follows a program tailored specifically to your body and mobility goals.
Our method combines assisted stretching, proven techniques, and individualized programming to help clients move better and feel better over time.

One-on-One Assisted Stretching
StretchLab sessions are delivered one-on-one with a trained Flexologist who guides the body through targeted stretches designed to improve flexibility and reduce muscle tension.
Because the stretches are assisted, clients are able to achieve deeper and more effective stretches than they typically could on their own. This creates lasting elasticity in the muscles.
This personalized approach allows the Flexologist to adjust each stretch in real time based on the client’s mobility, comfort level, goals, and feedback received through both verbal and non-verbal cues throughout the session.

PNF Stretching
StretchLab incorporates Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) stretching techniques, a method commonly used in sports performance and rehabilitation environments.
A muscle has a built in protective mechanism that contracts the muscle during a stretch to protect it from over-stretching.
PNF safely combines assisted stretching with brief muscle activation to help muscles relax more deeply and increase the depth of the stretch.
Because this technique requires both guidance and resistance, it is most effective when performed with a trained professional — which is why StretchLab sessions are conducted one-on-one with a Flexologist.

We Focus on Tension - Not Pain
At StretchLab, we focus on tension, not pain. Every experience should be completely pain-free.
We use a 0–10 tension scale to guide every stretch:
0 – no tension
10 – the point where discomfort would begin
Most beginner stretches are performed in the 3–5 range, which feels like a deep but comfortable stretch that can be held while breathing normally.
This system ensures stretches are effective while remaining safe and comfortable. The number progresses as your body progresses.

First Stretch is a Discovery Stretch
Every client’s first session begins with a Discovery Stretch. This is where the baseline of the program is discovered.
During this session, the Flexologist evaluates how the body moves, identifies areas of tightness or restriction, and observes overall mobility patterns.
Extensive notes are taken and entered into our software for proper tracking and allowing our team to collaborate on your program.
The Discovery Stretch helps establish a starting point for your mobility program and allows the Flexologist to begin building a stretching plan tailored to your body's specific needs.

M.A.P.S. Mobility Assessment
StretchLab also uses M.A.P.S. (Mobility, Activation, Posture, and Symmetry), a digital mobility assessment system that provides deeper insight into how the body moves.
The assessment evaluates:
• mobility and range of motion
• muscular activation patterns
• posture alignment
• left-to-right symmetry
Clients start their program with a M.A.P.S assessment and re-asses every month to track progress and make adjustments to their program.

Personalized Mobility Programming
Using the insights gathered during the Discovery Stretch and the M.A.P.S. assessment, the Flexologist develops a personalized mobility program for each member.
Each program is designed to address the individual’s unique movement patterns, flexibility limitations, and mobility goals.
Sessions follow a structured plan rather than random stretches, allowing the body to progressively improve over time.
M.A.P.S. re-assessments are performed monthly and notes are taken on every session to help make guided decisions on execution and structured program advancements.

Progress Through Periodization
As mobility improves, the stretching program evolves.
StretchLab applies principles similar to periodization used in training programs, adjusting variables such as:
• stretch intensity (tension scale)
• number of PNF cycles per stretch
• stretch sequence and selection
• and targeted muscle groups
This proactive approach ensures the body continues progressing safely toward improved mobility and movement. The StretchLab formula is
Program -> Periodization -> Progress.

Guided by Flexologists
Every session is delivered by a nationally accredited and certified StretchLab Flexologist, a trained professional who specializes in assisted stretching and mobility improvement.
Flexologists complete extensive training in anatomy, movement mechanics, and assisted stretching techniques to ensure each stretch is delivered safely and effectively.
Their expertise allows StretchLab to provide a structured stretching experience designed to support lasting mobility improvements.
The entire team collaborates on your program inside the studio and even studio-to-studio to ensure each stretch moves you forward.
